Hi, I'm Cara! I am the founder of the Work of Moments, a photography studio specializing in analog film photography based in Brooklyn, but available worldwide.

The concept for the Work of Moments began during my college years when I felt like no one took good candid photos anymore. In pursuit of capturing what I always envied in my parents college photos, I grabbed my camera, brought it to events, and the rest was history. Since then my camera has remained an extension of my being and a lens through which I can capture my and others lived in experiences with a focus on the simple but meaningful moments that make up a life. Whether it's the unscripted moments of everyday life or the connections between people and their environments, my photography is a celebration of the beauty that emerges from these interactions. My approach is deeply collaborative, as I believe that understanding the context and emotions of my subjects is essential in telling their stories. When I’m shooting your love, your brand, or you I want to understand how we can create and capture photographs that are an authentic representation of you or your creation.

I offer both full film (35mm & Medium Format) & film + digital packages.

It adds a unique dimension to my work, infusing it with the timeless quality and tactile warmth that only film can provide. The deliberate process of shooting on film requires a heightened sense of intention and patience, which, in turn, allows me to capture moments with a deep level of thought and consideration. The unpredictability and imperfections of film often lead to unexpected, yet beautiful results that perfectly complement the authenticity and emotional depth I aim to convey.
